Mark Anderson, Chief Acceleration Officer and TechX Director, and Cameron Gordon, Accelerator Programme Growth Lead, NZTC, gave the group an overview of NZTC and it's three core offerings:

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 15-week TechX Accelerator & Growth Programme for innovative clean energy start-ups with potential to significantly accelerate transition to an affordable net zero energy industry

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Net Zero Technology Services that help businesses decarbonize and support technology invetsment decisions. In particular, their Horizon Scanning & Foresight services tracks external drivers of change to build a practical picture of the future, allowing partners to exploit future opportunities and guard against threats.

👍 Results to date: £160M raised from industry; £250M raised with industry; 57 start-ups accelerated; 2540+ technologies screened!!

Finally, we heard from David Wilson, Energy Director of the Energy Transition Zone Ltd, who are positioning the North East of Scotland as a globally recognized integrated energy cluster focused on delivering net zero. Significant investments include:

👍 Offshore Wind Capus, centered around the National Floating Wind Innovation Centre.

👍 Skills Campus, to drive advanced manufacturing skills and community hub.

👍 Innovation Campus, that supports green start-ups and scale-ups.

👍 Maritime Gateway, an integrated cluster creating a catalyst to attract high value manufacturing associated with offshore renewables.
