👉 Health science in the north east of Scotland goes all the way back to 1495 when Kings College taught medicine in Aberdeen, with famous scientists such as Nobel Prize-winning John Boyd Orr (for research into nutrition), John James Richard MacLeod (discovery and isolation of insulin), and the world's first fully body MRI scanner all coming out of Aberdeen area.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Our cohort of global investors to Scotland had the privilege of visiting the new ONE Life Sciences ONE BioHub facility that houses/supports over 2500 scientists, and supports 75% of Scotland's late-stage drug development.

👉 In partnership with University of Aberdeen, Robert Gordon University, NHS Grampian, Scottish Enterprise, The Scottish Government, this £40M investment is bringing together the world-leading research expertise and commercial strengths developed in the region to enable the growth of the life sciences industry for decades to come.

👉 Deborah O'Neil, CEO of NovaBiotics, and Chair of Opportunity North East Life Sciences, and Lorna Duguid, Development Director of ONE Life Sciences, welcomed our investor team and gave an overview of the new facility and its value proposition.
